April 22, 2020, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ South Green
April 22nd is the United Nations recognized anniversary of Earth Day as a worldwide event. The national March for Science organization is in the forefront of earth and climate science advocacy. MFS is encouraging all cities and towns to create an event to celebrate and promote awareness of our continued need to protect and care for the local and global natural environment of earth, and to continue to raise awareness of challenges we all face in defense of the environment. Locally, members of the The Jonah Center for Earth and Art board of directors are spearheading the creation of such an event. Our proposal is to start with a short week-of-action, beginning on April 22, with a late afternoon-early evening march to the South Green. This will will serve as a rallying point for interested citizens with speakers, literature and activities for follow up.
