It is with great pleasure that the City of Middletown has ofifically gone live with new online HR application software, CivicHR.
This new system is a fully paperless application process whereby interested applicants will be able to create accounts in the system for which they can apply to open positions within the City, both internally or externally, depending on the phase of the recruitment process. Applications will be saved in each person’s own account to be used for submission in current and future recruitments.

From there, applicants will be able to view open positions for which they can apply through the Career Portal.
This new software will allow the City to more efficiently recruit for positions as well as reach out to a broader and wider pool of applicants. Interested candidates will be able to apply from any computer or smartphone.
The City is currently in the process of installing computer kiosks in the lobby of City Hall for members of the public and the City workforce who do not have access to a computer or smartphone.
Computers are also available for the public at the Russell Library located at 123 Broad Street, Middletown, CT 06457. A library card is not required to use the Library's computers.
